If You Went to Concerts at the Fillmore in the 60s they had a thing called a “wet” Light show..this was done by taking a petri dish and a eye dropper with dyes of various colors and dripping them into the dish to create unusual color effects .
The result was projected by a optical lens under high wattage theatrical lighting onto the stage [or audience].Looked “groovy” LOL
The “artists” with the eye droppers became local celebrities and received billing at the shows !
If you look at old concert posters from the 60s you will see under “The Grateful Dead” “lights by Joe” or similar eye dropper heros..
Psychadelica was a big thing in 68
